What happens when you stop chasing diets and start tuning in to what your body really needs—especially after having a baby?
In this deeply honest and empowering episode, I sit down with Ivanna Poole to talk through the realities of postpartum life—the messy middle between body changes, emotional eating, breastfeeding, and the pressure to “bounce back.” Ivanna shares how she’s transformed her relationship with food and her body, shedding 8kg not through restriction, but through mindful eating, whole foods, and mindset shifts.

Nourishment Not Punishment
This conversation is about way more than weight loss. We dive into the bigger picture of health—how processed foods, poor nutrition education, and stress are impacting not only us as mothers, but our kids too.
We talk about food as nourishment, not punishment. The power of local, sustainable food, why decoding food labels matters, and how ancestral eating might be the key to reconnecting with our bodies and our culture.
This is for any mum who’s ever stood in front of the mirror feeling disconnected. For anyone wondering if healthy eating can actually feel joyful. For those ready to move, eat, and live with intention.

What Did Ivanna Do?
After the initial 12 weeks Ivanna signed up for more with our 6 Week Summer Body Reset which included a super protein focus, especially in the mornings. This is an incredible tactic for any woman, but particularly women postpartum and also transitioning through perimenopause and menopause.
During this 6 weeks Ivanna had some real challenges with her daughter being hospitalised at the very start of the challenge. The focus she had already gained meant that she sought out good food, despite the challenges of limited food at the hospital. She also began working out. Just 10-15 minutes + Walking. And the changes were significant!
Not Just Weight Loss, But Body Recomposition
As well as losing over 8kg, Ivanna lost over 30cm from across her body. Recomposition (losing body fat) while gaining muscle, is an important consideration for any fat loss journey as the body often tells a story that the scales do not.
I'm incredibly proud of Ivanna and her continued efforts in both her body and mindset. Her progress speaks volumes about what's possible!
